Tu Rinsche

Tu Rinsche

Tu Rinsche is passionate about leveraging social innovations that help people live better and more sustainably. She has over 15 years of experience developing and managing social impact programs and is a human rights policy expert. In her current role as Director, Social Impact and Global Responsibility at Marriott International, Tu leads global human rights issues across a portfolio of 30 unique brands. She lends her expertise and leadership to drive Marriott's core value in promoting ethical conduct by advancing human rights within business policies and operations. She also oversees The Ritz-Carlton social and environmental responsibility program, Community Footprints. She guides a team of 125+ on-property CSR leaders globally to successfully implement their community engagement strategies in support of The Ritz-Carlton engagement in Impact 2030, a UN endorsed initiative that promotes corporate volunteerism to support the Sustainable Development Goals.

Previously, she worked on human rights issues at The Walt Disney Company, developing and leading a multi-million dollar social innovation fund that supports human rights projects in promoting ethical sourcing, particularly within the consumer products industry. At the U.S. Department of State, she focused on policy and partnership development to address global forced and child labor, serving as the lead on child soldier and cocoa labor issues, as well as corporate social responsibility issues in Africa for the Human Rights Bureau. She served as a W.A.S.H. volunteer with the U.S. Peace Corps in Mauritania and promoted awareness-raising campaigns focused on preventable disease and community engagement. Tu's introduction into human rights started 20 years ago with Amnesty International as a volunteer human rights teacher in Washington, DC. She earned her Master's in International Affairs and Security Policy from Columbia University and Bachelor's in International Affairs and Economics from the George Washington University.

John Pflueger

John Pflueger

John Pflueger, Ph.D., is Dell's Principal Environmental Strategist. In this role, John is responsible for driving Dell's strategy on issues around Environmental Sustainability – including energy, GHG emissions, materials of concern, material use/recovery/reuse, water and the application of technology to environmental issues. In addition, John is Dell's lead on understanding Net Positive and how it relates to Dell's current and future business.

Prior to this role, John was Dell's subject matter expert on data center energy efficiency and managed initiatives to help customers improve the productivity of their computer systems and facilities. Since graduating from MIT in 1991 with a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, John has been in a number of roles including product definition, development and manufacturing, as well as corporate and social responsibility.

Charlene Wall-Warren

Charlene Wall-Warren

As Sustainability Director for BASF in North America, Charlene Wall-Warren leads a team working across the organization to bring BASF's corporate purpose “We create chemistry for a sustainable future” to life: by further integrating sustainability in business strategies, engaging employees, and collaborating with customers, value chain partners and other external stakeholders. Charlene's roles over the last 24 years include project engineering, safety and process design, business and strategy development, marketing, communications, packaging, and life cycle assessment – touching industries as diverse as petrochemicals, construction, automotive, food, electronics and personal care. She has been a Board member for the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and The Sustainability Consortium. She serves in advisory roles for Sustainable Brands, USBCSD, CERES and the Green Sports Alliance, and has been recognized by Environmental Leader and Corporate Responsibility publications. Charlene holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The expectation for external transparency about environment, health and safety, and sustainability (EHS&S) performance is driving more companies to the commercial software market, according to a research report released today by the National Association for Environmental Management (NAEM).
