Marian C. Hwang

Marian Hwang has been an environmental attorney with the firm since 1987 and co-chairs its Environmental Practice Group. The breadth of her legal experiences representing multinational and national clients has enabled her to develop practical solutions to complex issues, whether involving complicated real estate/corporate acquisitions or divestitures to complex multi-defendant toxic tort claims and multi-facility compliance and enforcement matters. She has authored and lectured extensively before the American Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, Government Institutes, National Business Institute, and corporations on various environmental subjects. She is LEED certified, serves on boards of many community, civic and professional organizations, and has been named as one of The Best Lawyers in America (Environmental/Law Litigation) from 2007 to present. Miles & Stockbridge has been a NAEM affiliate council member since 2009.

Amanda Neidert Kesler

Amanda Neidert Kesler's practice focuses on environmental matters, including regulatory compliance and permitting, environmental and toxic tort litigation, and contaminated property transactions. She counsels clients on complex regulatory compliance issues involving a variety of federal environmental laws and related state statutes. Amandarepresents clients in federal and state enforcement actions, environmental contamination litigation, federal Superfund cost recovery actions, administrative investigations, and occupational exposure and product liability claims. In addition, she advises clients on environmental liability and due diligence issues in real estate transactions and corporate acquisitions/divestitures. Representative clients include manufacturers and distributors of industrial and consumer products, real estate developers, and financial institutions. She is active within the Environment, Energy and Resource Section of the American Bar Association and serves on the Environmental Law Section Council for the Maryland State Bar Association.

Van P. Hilderbrand, Jr. focuses his practice on environmental litigation, regulatory compliance issues, and advising on the environmental aspects of business and real estate transactions. His work also includes consulting on renewable energy project development and project finance transactions, conducting due diligence and assisting with permitting issues. He represents clients in a wide range of industries, including energy, manufacturing, consumer products, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, transportation, technology and real estate. He is active within the Environment, Energy and Resource Section of the American Bar Association and is recognized as a Washington, D.C. Super Lawyers Rising Star in the area of environmental law.

The expectation for external transparency about environment, health and safety, and sustainability (EHS&S) performance is driving more companies to the commercial software market, according to a research report released today by the National Association for Environmental Management (NAEM).
