Executive Brief - April 7, 2016 - Researchers Call Climate Change Goals Fanciful
NAEM Executive Brief April 7, 2016

"Never discourage anyone... who continually makes progress, no matter how slow." - Plato (~428- 348/347 BC), Classical Greece philosopher

Researchers Call Climate Change Goals Fanciful
A landmark agreement to cut global carbon output in hopes of curbing effects of climate change will take a "man-to-the-moon" effort, and it's not likely to happen, say two Texas researchers. The problem is people respond to immediate threats, such as a military attack, more promptly than they do phenomena such as climate change. Internal Hires Need Just as Much Support as External Ones
Far too often, leaders making internal moves are left to sink or swim in their new roles. This is true regardless of how ready they are or how big the leaps are they are making. Apple's Robot Rips Apart iPhones for Recycling
Apple has unveiled a robotic system called Liam to take apart junked iPhones and recover valuable materials that can be recycled, such as silver and tungsten. Taking apart a phone every 11 seconds, the robot can strip a few million phones per year. Read more...
