Silica Rule In The Spotlight At House Subcommittee Hearing
OSHA's recently issued final rule on respirable crystalline silica received both criticism and support during a hearing convened by the House Workforce Protections Subcommittee. The Paris accord will enter into force when at least 55 countries representing at least 55 percent of global emissions ratify or formally join it in another way. But while major emitters, notably China and the United States, have said they will pursue steps to adopt the agreement as early as possible, domestic politics may make that a challenge.
