Achieving and Retrieving Sustainability Results through Effective Data Management
Thursday Sept. 19, 2013
3 - 6 p.m.
Location: Schneider Electric, 1415 South Roselle Road,
Palatine, IL 60067
Corporate EH&S professionals face a challenge in selecting and using an Environmental Management Information System (EMIS) to capture, evaluate, and report on, their critical EH&S Metrics. Beyond the standard environmental compliance and safety metrics, the increasing focus on Sustainability and its associated metrics is adding an additional aspect that an EMIS must address. There are numerous commercially available options, and evaluating, selecting, and using a particular EMIS can be a daunting task. This event discusses the options and challenges, provides some insight and recommendations on how to select and use an EMIS, and provides three (3) brief case studies the selection/use of different EMIS options, with an emphasis on how to incorporate Sustainability metrics within the platform.
