Building a Culture of Regulatory Compliance & Regulatory Update

Thursday Sept. 18, 2014
2:00 - 6:00 p.m.

Location: Jax Cafe, 1928 University Avenue NE, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55418

The NAEM Upper Midwest Chapter cordially invites you to the fall chapter meeting at the historic JAX Café. This meeting will focus on both the cultural challenges to compliance as well as provide an update on pending changes to the Clean Water Act and Minnesota Stormwater regulations.

  • Compliance efforts are won or lost by the employees on the front lines, at all levels of an organization. Effectively providing regulatory training and having employees truly understand and perform is an everyday challenge. The speakers will examine how they build a regulatory compliance culture and deliver effective training strategies to ensure compliance at all levels.
  • Did you know that there are pending changes to the Clean Water Act? Also, the MPCA has updated the Minnesota Industrial Storm Water Permit and made several changes to subsector requirements. An update will be provided to get you up to speed so you can understand your compliance situation.

The meeting will be followed by a happy hour and hors d’oeuvres to allow continued discussion and networking with your peers! Come to learn and more importantly share what works well for your organization!

To Make the Most of an EHS & Sustainability Software Investment, Don’t Skimp on the Implementation

March 7, 2018

Software is a powerful tool for accelerating EHS & Sustainability performance, but even the best tool can fail if it’s not implemented well, according to a new NAEM report that was published today. At the heart of the findings in NAEM’s “Ready, Set, Implement: How to Successfully Deploy an EHS & Sustainability Software System” is that success—or failure— often comes down to how well the company mapped the system to its core processes, trained its users and sold the value to the organization.
