Washington, DC, Aug. 15, 2014 - The NAEM program team is actively planning its 2015 calendar of events, and is seeking input from members about the issues on their agenda for next year, according to Program Director Mike Mahanna.
“The continued value of our peer-to-peer conferences comes from our close collaboration with our members,” he said. “As we set our sights on the year to come, we aim to present a program lineup that addresses the urgent issues and management challenges for EHS & sustainability leaders.”
Part of this planning, Mr. Mahanna said, will include selecting speakers for NAEM’s 2015 EHS & Sustainability software conference on Feb. 23 in Tampa, Fla. The association’s biannual showcase of data management solutions will feature user presentations by those who have purchased leading software solutions, as well as sessions dedicated to the process of selecting and implementing a system. There will also be presentation of results from NAEM’s benchmark on the selection criteria and budgets of those who are in the market for a new system.
Next year’s programs will also include sessions on a range of compliance and sustainability-related topics, which could include: regulatory compliance, environmental management systems, auditing practices, sustainability strategy development, ESG materiality and external reporting.
The proposed calendar will be announced at NAEM’s 2014 EHS Management Forum on Oct. 22-24 in Austin, Texas.
