Member Spotlight - May 2013 - Morgan Pinney, EHS Officer for Citrix Online

Why did you join NAEM?

I joined to get some exposure to people in my field; I am relatively new to this position and was very excited to find this organization.

What are you currently working on?

I am working with our Critical Facilities Manager to develop a comprehensible sustainability plan for our company.

What do you like about your job?

I love working with people.

What advice would you have for someone entering the field today?

Learn all you can learn about facilities operation. The field covers so much and just when you think you know it all, some new project comes about and you realize you're not even close--which is a good thing, because it's never boring.

What are the three words your spouse/colleagues/best friends would use to describe you?

Outgoing, funny, social

What do you like to do during your free time?

Travel and lots of it.

To Make the Most of an EHS & Sustainability Software Investment, Don’t Skimp on the Implementation

March 7, 2018

Software is a powerful tool for accelerating EHS & Sustainability performance, but even the best tool can fail if it’s not implemented well, according to a new NAEM report that was published today. At the heart of the findings in NAEM’s “Ready, Set, Implement: How to Successfully Deploy an EHS & Sustainability Software System” is that success—or failure— often comes down to how well the company mapped the system to its core processes, trained its users and sold the value to the organization.
