Any SEC issuers who use Tin, Tungsten, Tantalum and Gold in their products must report on their sources of those materials to the SEC and the public. These reports are due in May of each calendar year and lack of sourcing information was cited as the number one gap by companies reporting to the SEC in 2014.

This webinar will focus on the efforts and activities necessary in order to determine the mining sources of smelters in a company's Supply Chain.

What you will learn:

  • How to identify the problems "on the front lines" with respect to getting this data and ways to identify sources and mitigate risk in their Supply Chain.
  • How to identify real smelters vs. fake smelters
  • An understanding of the different sources of Conflict Minerals and how to identify them in their Supply Chain
  • The overall progress of smelters towards obtaining Conflict Free Smelting certifications and what the expectation is for the next year

Speakers:

  • Jonathan Hughes, Conflict Minerals Program Director; Assent Compliance Inc.
