More and more small/startup companies are diving into the food chain—many of them with limited knowledge of the latest governmental requirements to maintain food safety. More so than ever, it is important to encourage and maintain a culture of safety, even in a small setting that focuses on the greater vision of “artisanal.”

Attendees will learn:

  • Elements of safety culture that help breed success.
  • The importance of tracking of changing EHS rules/regulations
  • The significance for larger companies to know how carefully their smaller partners follow and adhere to best EHS practices.
  • Why it is essential to not cut corners or overlook the seemingly 'little things' that go into product safety.

Speaker:

  • Kevin Devine, Senior Consultant, PCQI (Preventative Controls Qualified Individual); AlterEcho

To Make the Most of an EHS & Sustainability Software Investment, Don’t Skimp on the Implementation

March 7, 2018

Software is a powerful tool for accelerating EHS & Sustainability performance, but even the best tool can fail if it’s not implemented well, according to a new NAEM report that was published today. At the heart of the findings in NAEM’s “Ready, Set, Implement: How to Successfully Deploy an EHS & Sustainability Software System” is that success—or failure— often comes down to how well the company mapped the system to its core processes, trained its users and sold the value to the organization.
