The EPA has launched a waste and materials tracking feature in its Energy Star Portfolio Manager, which is a free benchmarking and tracking tool for commercial building owners and managers. Toxic Chemicals In Drinking Water For Six Million Americans
Drinking water supplies for more than six million Americans contain unsafe levels of industrial chemicals, known as PFASs, that have been linked to cancer and other serious health problems, a U.S. study suggests.  Additionally, the problem may be much more widespread than the current study findings suggest because researchers lacked data on drinking water from smaller public water systems and private wells that serve about one-third of the U.S. population – about 100 million people. Olympic Athletes Challenged by New Opponent: Global Warming
Warm temperatures have already caught out athletes. Several athletes in the test events for the Rio Olympics had heat-related injuries. Eleven of the 18 race walkers succumbed to the heat and one fainted, according to the report. Read more
