Nick Martin

Nick Martin headshot

Nick Martin is a Partner at Antea Group. Nick is dedicated to supporting clients with assessing, prioritizing and managing sustainability-related business risks and opportunities. He has extensive experience supporting private and public organizations with translating their sustainability‐related aspirations into successful strategies and measurable objectives. Specific areas of expertise include global water resource management, risk assessment, process improvement systems (ISO 14001/ OHSAS 18001/ SA8000), and stakeholder engagement. Much of his strategic support involves researching leading practices in Corporate Responsibility (CR) and utilizing this knowledge to assist clients with benchmarking against peers and developing viable and differentiating strategies.

Nick leverages a unique combination of environmental engineering and business administration expertise to partner with multinational clients in developing and implementing fit‐for‐purpose programs that integrate sustainability into core business practices. Nick also has professional experience working in the non‐profit sector which he leverages in support of community and stakeholder engagement initiatives.

Nick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science, a Master’s degree in Environmental and Energy Management and a Masters of Business Administration.

Marco Ugarte is a Sustainability Manager for Energy & Water Stewardship at MillerCoors LLC. Accountable for the comprehensive Energy & Water Stewardship Strategy of the organization serves as the main point of contact for strategic partnerships between MillerCoors and The Nature Conservancy, the Beverage Industry Environmental Roundtable, the United Nations Global Compact, and The Sustainability Consortium. Currently serving in the Board of Directors of the APICS Educational & Research Foundation, Dr. Ugarte is a certified supply chain instructor and speaker for forums such as The White House Council on Environmental Quality, The Association of Climate Change Officers, and The Logistics & Supply Chain Forum.

Formerly, Dr. Ugarte was responsible for the expansion of The Sustainability Consortium into Latin America, while conducting research in supply chain carbon footprint modeling for lean logistics and retailing systems in the consumer goods industry. As entrepreneur, has received awards from MIT, ASU, Walmart, and NASDAQ to launch technology-based innovation ventures addressing sustainability challenges.

Designated Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) by APICS, The Association for Operations Management; as well as Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA) by the American Society for Quality (ASQ). Marco holds a Ph.D. in Sustainability from Arizona State University; a M.E. in Quality and Productivity Systems, and a B.S. in Industrial & Systems Engineering, both from Tec de Monterrey, Mexico.
