Why did you join NAEM?
To build my professional network, stay informed of industry best practice, and share my own experience and knowledge.

What do you like about your job?
I like my job because no day is the same and we touch all aspects of the business in some way every day.

Has your environmental program received any awards or recognition? If so, what?
Pall Corp. products are protecting what matters every day and are globally recognized for providing clean drinking water, protecting the environment and ensuring quality results from both industrial hygiene and environmental testing.   Pall has also been recognized in Newsweek's top environmental companies list several times.

What is your biggest challenge in your current role?
Change management, by far.  To be successful business and industry needs to constantly change.  Ensuring that safety and environmental risks are identified and addressed is critical, and EHS initiatives and programs need to be dynamic to ensure a high level of performance is sustained.

What career accomplishment are you most proud of?
Mentoring and helping others grow their EHS careers.  I have worked with several EHS interns and young professionals that have gone on to earn leadership roles in world-class companies.

How would your spouse/colleagues/best friends describe you?
They would tell you that I like to tell stories with a personal connection or quote history to make a point, that I look too serious, and should smile more often.

What aspect to the natural world/environment impresses you the most? Why?
I will have to say it is its resiliency and its remarkable ability to bounce back after being stressed.  That being said, I am a pragmatist and proponent of the triple bottom line.  It is becoming more and more evident that to be successful over the long term, a business needs to interact with and conserve the natural environment and our communities in a positive way.
