As America's energy needs are expected to grow by about 10 percent over the next 25 years, the country's ability to meet these energy needs will be determined by the performance of U.S. companies that innovate new and efficient technologies and the energy use practices of U.S. business organizations. This presentation will offer insights into these two economic forces and their growing interdependence based on data from the updated 2013 Bloomberg BNA Corporate Energy Efficiency Benchmark Report with a focus on the corporate sector and their specific energy efficiency strategies, investments and goals.

This webinar presentation will inform EH&S Managers of the trends occurring in corporate America with respect to corporate energy efficiency strategies that have been implemented and are being planned for.

There were several key findings from the report that will be expanded upon in the webinar presentation. Most companies have the most to gain from energy efficiency projects, and Bill Holmes, with Holmes Energy Partners, LLC, will speak to that point with case studies of corporate implementations and how to get to beyond the low-hanging fruit.

One of the other highlights in the survey was the finding that many companies, and a growing percentage, are generating their own renewable energy. Some are creating new revenue streams or even going into the renewable business. We will hear from Geoff Boraston with Granite Construction who's company is doing just that, and very successfully with solar power.
