Many health and safety issues in workplace laboratories including, but not limited to, necessary programs, procedures, training, ventilation, and PPE, are governed by specific OSHA and EPA regulations.

There is a lot of confusion in industry about what regulations apply because there are different rules for laboratories based on their operations; productions labs and research and development (R&D) labs are considered very different under the OSHA standard. Even the regulatory definitions of production and R&D labs can be confusing.

This webinar seeks to clear up the confusion around as well as give recommendations on what workplace labs need to have in place not only to be compliant, but to be safer places to work.

Attend this webinar to learn about the following concepts and how to use them to ensure compliance:

  • Regulatory requirements for different types of laboratory operations
  • Resource needs for laboratory safety programs
  • Training needs for laboratory staff
  • Typical safety pitfalls in laboratory operations
