John Hoekstra serves as Senior Vice President of Global Enterprise Sustainability and LATAM Energy at Prologis, where he drives customer decarbonization strategies and leads the company’s expansion of energy solutions across Latin America.
In this capacity, John oversees Prologis’ Enterprise Sustainability team, which partners with customers to reduce emissions and accelerate their energy transitions. His work spans the deployment of onsite solar, battery storage, fleet electrification, and sustainable building solutions that advance customer sustainability goals while enhancing operational performance.
John also guides the company’s energy growth strategy in LATAM, opening new opportunities for clean energy deployment and supporting the decarbonization of logistics operations in emerging markets.
Additionally, he directs the integration of digital technologies and energy data systems to optimize efficiency, improve Prologis’ sustainability performance, and accelerate the adoption of emerging energy technologies across the portfolio and customer network. John has over 20 years of experience spanning roles at Schneider Electric, Dell Computer,
E.I. DuPont de Nemours, and Brown-Forman. His tenure at Schneider Electric included
leading sustainability and renewable energy advisory practices serving the Fortune 500.
John holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Louisville and is a registered professional engineer. On the weekends, you’ll find him at field and ice hockey games with his three kids which often feels more like a taxi driver.
