Elizabeth Zimmermann

Elizabeth Zimmermann is Senior Director of Global Environmental, Health, Safety and Security for Western Digital. As a member of a cross-functional team, she helped spearhead the development of a global, integrated management system (IMS) for certification to industry-recognized quality, environmental and occupational health and safety management system standards. She currently is the management representative for Western Digital’s IMS and is focused on integrating EHS governance and implementation across the company’s growing portfolio of global operations.

Ms. Zimmermann joined the IBM data storage operation in 1997, and she has continued to lead EHS for the business during its transition first to Hitachi and subsequently to Western Digital. She holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Stanford University.
