Kevin Akaloo

Kevin Akaloo is the Vice President of Global HSE for MDLZ International, responsible for leading the company’s Health Safety and Environment Agenda. He assumed the role in 2016, bring with him a wealth of experience in HSE Leadership and Supply Chain Management. Kevin is a 4th generation South African who has been with the company since April 2009, previously serving as the HSE Director for Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa and as QEHS Director for the Middle East & Africa at Cadbury. Prior to joining MDLZ, Kevin held various leadership roles in SABMILLER and BHP BILLITON.

Kevin holds a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering and currently serves as the Chair for the Conference Board EHS Council. He has lived and studied in both the USA and South Africa. Kevin is married to Deidre, with two children – Max and Diara. In his spare time he enjoys soccer (a Man United fan), snooker (having achieved national colors), gym workouts, movies and music.
