Nia Christoforakis

Nia Christoforakis is Vice President, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) North America for EssilorLuxottica, a global leader at the forefront of advanced vision care solutions, iconic designs, smart eyewear and innovative medical technologies. EssilorLuxottica stands at the intersection of medical excellence, digital innovation and global desirability. Our portfolio brings together world-leading vision care, eyewear and lifestyle brands with sought-after luxury licenses, AI-enabled eyewear, advanced medical technologies, leading retail brands and specialized eye hospitals and diagnostic facilities.

With more than 30 years of experience, Nia has led EHS transformation, operational excellence, and culture-building initiatives across manufacturing, distribution, and retail environments. She joined EssilorLuxottica more than 12 years ago as EHS Director for Oakley's flagship manufacturing facility and has advanced to her current role overseeing the EHS Center of Excellence supporting strategy and performance across North America.

Nia is passionate about developing high-performing teams and mentoring emerging leaders. She believes great leadership is rooted in empowering others, fostering meaningful connections, and creating opportunities for people to grow and succeed.

Outside of work, Nia enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, biking, traveling, and relaxing at the beach. Originally from Chicago, she is a life-long Chicago Cubs fan. She currently lives in Irvine, California.
