Betty Cremmins is a global partnerships builder who works at the intersection of government, standards and industry to accelerate climate action through sustainable supply chains. She has an extensive background in greenhouse gas accounting, climate disclosure, sustainable procurement, industrial decarbonization, green building and environmental policy.
Her career began at CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project), where for over a decade she helped transition thousands of companies, governments and their global supply chains toward a climate-resilient, water-secure and deforestation-free economy. She carried that data-driven rigor to the World Economic Forum, helping establish and scale 1t.org, the Trillion Trees Platform. She was invited to serve in the White House as Director for Sustainable Supply Chains, leading the U.S. government on a path to net zero emissions procurement by 2050. Today, Betty channels that experience into building an international Plan to Accelerate Solutions on Sustainable Public Procurement. Her consultancy, Cadence Climate LLC, focuses on keeping up the pace of change by helping values-aligned organizations pursue meaningful, dynamic, pragmatic climate action.
Betty holds an MPA in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University and a Bachelor's from New York University. She is a member of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol's Scope 3 Technical Working Group, an Advisor to the Climate Liabilities and Assets Initiative, and a Security Fellow with the Truman National Security Project.
