Monty retired from Ramboll in 2025, after 35 years as a business development professional with Earth Tech, AECOM and Ramboll. For the first 9 years after college he worked for the Associated Industries of Massachusetts doing advocacy and lobbying work on energy and environmental issues on behalf of industry. He received an Environmental Merit Award from the USEPA Region 1 for this work. In 1991 Monty became active with NAEM, helping to form the New England Chapter and becoming the Chair of the Affiliates Council succeeding Richard Cahaly. Throughout his consulting career he has been active in NAEM hosting and sponsoring events, recruiting Corporate members, attending the Annual Forums and Affiliate Council meetings. He remains active today in land conservation and forest management issues.
