Thaiza Bissacot

Thaiza Bissacot is an environmental leader with more than 18 years of experience driving environmental compliance, risk management, and stewardship initiatives within the mining and metals industry. She currently serves as Global Environmental Manager at Alcoa, where she supports the development of global environmental standards, advances environmental performance, and fosters collaboration across regions to address complex environmental challenges.

Originally from Brazil and now based in the United States, Thaiza brings extensive technical and operational experience in environmental management, supported by a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences. Throughout her career, she has partnered with cross-functional teams to strengthen environmental governance and support responsible resource development.
