Shelley Zimmer is the Director of Educational Programs at NAEM where she is responsible for leading the development and operation of NAEM’s educational online and in-person learning programs focused on how companies are managing and advancing their EHS & Sustainability business goals.

Prior to NAEM, Shelley led sustainability programs at HP Inc, including the global HP Planet Partners recycling program, helping customers recycle more than 1 billion print cartridges and driving circular innovation.

Before working at HP, Shelley worked at Nike in a sustainable design innovation group, where she worked on the Considered Index for products, packaging projects and supply chain engagement. Shelley has spoken frequently to customers, press and analysts about sustainability, circularity and design for environment. Shelley was also an Adjunct Professor in the College of Business and Economics at Boise State University, teaching a class in Corporate Social Responsibility and Business Ethics.

Shelley graduated from Yale University with a BA in Environmental History. She graduated from Duke University with an MBA in Marketing and a Master of Environmental Management in Water and Air Resources, as well as a lifelong passion for college basketball.

Shelley resides in Boise with her husband and daughter, where they enjoy the many outdoor activities that Idaho has to offer.
