Abdul Mottaleb is the Managing Director of Global Sustainable Certification Services Limited (GSCSL. He is the management expert & SAAS Accredited Lead trainer for the SA 8000 auditor course. Mr. Mottaleb has 16+ years’ professional experience in the field of social compliance, ISO & OHS management system, environment, organic cotton manufacturing industries (GOTS/OCS/RCS certification) and consumer product inspection. He has started the journey to contribute on global sustainability from his study on Urban and Rural Planning (URP) and Environmental Sciences, and participates on various certification program including industry exposers. Mr. Mottaleb started his career in 2003 at the renowned auditing company Bureau Veritas in Bangladesh. After that, he gained his experience in other certification bodies and manufacturing plants as well.

He has conducted more than 1500 audits in several industries across Asia, Africa and Middle East on standards such as Social CoC, SA 8000, BSCI, SMETA, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, 45001, OHSAS 18001, GOTS, OCS, and RCS. Mr. Mottaleb has auditing and training experience in countries including Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Mauritius, Middle East, Egypt, Tunisia, Myanmar, Thailand and Turkey.

Mr. Mottaleb studied Urban and Rural Planning (URP) and Environmental Sciences at Khulna University and Jahangirnagar University respectively.

Mr. Mottaleb has completed LA courses on SA8000, 45001:2018 (OHSMS), ISO 9001: 2008 (QMS), ISO 14001: 2004 (EMS), ISO 50001 and others management systems.

Mr. Mottaleb is delivering the professional Auditor/Lead Auditor Course on ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018 under Department of Environmental Sciences in Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh. He has trained over 500 textile professionals and management experts, and counting, over the globe.

He is currently working in development projects of the SNV Netherlands as a textile and gender expert in the RMG sector in Bangladesh.
