Ayse Trail is the Sustainability Manager for TE Connectivity's Aerospace, Defense & Marine (AD&M) business unit, where she leads sustainability strategy across 25 global manufacturing sites. With more than five years of experience in corporate sustainability, she partners with manufacturing, engineering, sourcing, logistics, and EHS teams to advance Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions reduction, energy efficiency, water stewardship, and waste diversion initiatives.
Ayse holds a Master of Environmental Management with a specialization in Corporate Sustainability from Duke University and combines technical expertise with strong business acumen to translate sustainability goals into measurable operational results. Over the past three years, she has led the implementation of more than 130 sustainability projects, generating more than $2.5 million in cumulative savings. Under her leadership, the business unit has achieved a greater than 99% reduction in SF₆ usage at applicable manufacturing sites and grown from zero to 11 Zero Waste to Landfill (ZWTL) certified sites in just two years.
Beyond delivering measurable results, Ayse is passionate about building a culture of sustainability. She has championed initiatives including cross-business-unit Energy Treasure Hunts, the Sustainability Gemba program, the Sustainability Knowledge Sharing Hub, and the AD&M Green Team recognition program to strengthen collaboration, share best practices, and empower employees to identify and implement sustainability improvements. Through her collaborative leadership, data-driven approach, and commitment to continuous improvement, Ayse is helping shape the next generation of sustainability leadership while creating lasting environmental and business value across TE Connectivity.
