David Sands is the Regional Director of Environmental, Health, and Safety, Quality and Compliance for Liberty Packaging Inc. in Minneapolis, Minnesota where he provides strategic Continuous Improvement direction and EHS leadership. He has 20 years of
experience as an Environmental, Health, Safety, Quality and Risk Management Professional including EHS/ISO/SQF auditing, behavior-based safety, incident investigation, EHS compliance and training. Currently, David is responsible for creating a continuous
improvement mindset, establishing ESG metrics and surveys, coaching compliance to policies, processes and programs as well as developing EHS/Q talent. Prior to joining Liberty Packaging, he spent 10 years as a Site Manager working in the food industry
and 10 years as an EHS/Risk Manager in the automotive and electrical sectors.
David is a member of the NAEM Board of Regents. He has a B.S. in Economics and an M.S. in Risk Management from the University of Wisconsin. David is also a Certified ISO 9001 and SQF Auditor, and part-time EMT.
