J.M. Huber Corporation is a 135-year old, family-owned business with approximately 4500 employees and $3.2 B in revenue. Huber's products are designed for the food & beverage, pharmaceutical, personal care industries as well as for electronics, paints and coatings, agriculture nutrients and energy-efficient residential construction.

As Huber's Executive Vice President of Environment, Health, Safety & Sustainability (EHS&S), Young is a corporate officer and management representative to the Huber Board on ESG issues. His responsibilities include embedding ESG/sustainability in Huber's business strategy based on risk reduction, balanced CapEx deployment decisions and robust global community and employee engagement. With his leadership, Huber was awarded in 2021, the prestigious IMD-Pictet award as the most sustainable global family-owned business.

Prior to joining Huber, Young was a Prime Minister's appointee as a full-time Board Member of Canada's National Energy Board (NEB), an independent federal regulatory agency adjudicating the review of Canada's major energy infrastructure projects. He has also served as Senior VP of Corporate Sustainability with Smith & Nephew, a global medical technology company, as Executive VP for Ducks Unlimited, Inc., an international nonprofit organization focused on science, environmental problem-solving and public engagement and as a Principal with Golder Associates, a global, employee-owned engineering, environmental and social science consulting practice.

Young earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from the University of Regina, as well as a Master of Science Degree in Zoology from the University of Alberta.
