As Jacobs Director of Sustainable Operations, Mrs. Duyen Tran is responsible for the promotion and integration of sustainability in business decision making to improve business performance, enhance the environment, and support the long-term interests of the company. She sets strategic goals and directives as well as leads changes to improve operational efficiency for Jacobs operated facilities across North America. To date, her award-winning sustainability program at Jacobs has saved nearly $12 million for our clients and the company, reduced electrical consumption by an estimated 70 million kWh, reduced fuel consumption by nearly 169,000 gallons, diverted more than 41,900 tons of biosolids and recyclable wastes from landfills, and recorded nearly 16,500 volunteer hours.

Mrs. Tran has worked at the intersection of business delivery and sustainability for 32 years in diverse management capacities. An advocate for water professionals, she has held several leadership positions in local, regional, and national water & wastewater organizations throughout her career. Most recently, she was the Water Environment Federation (WEF) Past Speaker of the House of Delegates. A recognized water professional, she received several awards and recognitions from local to national. Among her many prestigious industry honors, she was named the 2014 Living Water Award from the National Association of Water Companies.

Duyen earned her B.S. degree in chemistry from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and is a certified Envision Sustainability Professional
