Kevin Devine is a Senior Consultant who helps lead the company’s Consumer Packaged Goods practice, assisting clients with the growing demand for professional consulting services centered on safety and stewardship in the production and distribution of food and drink products - from product engineering and purity, to packaging, distribution, and waste management.

Kevin has spent more than 20 years in the food and beverage world, having put his studies to good use in Process Development, Quality Assurance, Product Development and Packaging R&D. Prior to joining AlterEcho, he spent more than 15 years at Kraft Heinz, taking on management roles for multiple iconic brands such as Maxwell House and Crystal Light. He has led the development and launch of more than 100 new products within Food Service, Coffee, and Powdered Beverages. In his last assignment at Kraft Heinz, he led the R&D teams tasked with developing McDonald’s Pumpkin Spice and Espresso line extensions. He previously served as a process development and quality engineer with Joseph E. Seagram & Sons, Inc.

Kevin has extensive knowledge of QA procedures, FDA regulations, the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), and its Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP), ensuring that clients meet state, federal and international requirements and guidelines. He has guided teams through unannounced FDA inspections and follow-up action items, helping them with food production and food importing procedures that stand up to regulatory demands.

Kevin has a BS and an MS in Chemical Engineering from Manhattan College in New York. While in school, his studies focused on novel methods of water purification and solvent recovery.

When Kevin is not helping CPG companies, he can be found on the diamond or the hardwood, coaching his two boys’ Little League teams and recreation basketball teams. Some of his hobbies include snowboarding, golfing, fishing, and barbequing.
