Maria Montenegro is the Senior Vice President of Strategy & Innovation for Wolters Kluwer, a leading global provider of B2B software and information services. Maria’s portfolio spans Corporate Strategy, Innovation, North America M&A, and Sales Effectiveness. Since joining Wolters Kluwer in early 2022, she has been focused on advancing the company’s ESG commercial strategy which includes Enablon (Risk, Compliance, Environmental & Social Performance), CCH® Tagetik (Reporting & Disclosure, Financial Performance) and FRR (risk and regulatory reporting for banks) – three of its flagship software businesses with ESG offerings. Maria believes passionately that ESG is a team sport, and is a strong advocate for bringing financial and operational data together to drive an integrated view of risk and performance. Before joining Wolters Kluwer, Maria was a strategy consultant with McKinsey & Company for nearly a decade. She holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers Community, and an Associate with the European Round Table for Industry (ERT).
