Dr. Harclerode is CDM Smith’s Sustainability Practice Leader with 18 years of experience in sustainable environmental management across a variety of market sectors including transportation, remediation, water and energy resources, solid waste management,
and industrial manufacturing. Specifically, she specializes in the development and application of integrated assessment approaches to comprehensively define sustainability objectives and evaluate environmental, social, and economic impacts. She provides
technical advisement on sustainability planning and analytics to inform client environmental social governance (ESG) reporting and development of sustainability-focused strategies, such as decarbonization, net zero, and water stewardship. Expertise includes
environmental/carbon footprint analysis, life cycle assessment, triple bottom line co-benefit analysis, community impact evaluations, risk communication, stakeholder engagement, and development of sustainable best management practices. Recently,
Dr. Harclerode co-authored a chapter in the 2022 Pathways to Water Sector Decarbonization, Carbon Capture and Utilization publication.
