Shannon Sullivan Roberts is a Principal in Climate Change and Sustainability Services and serves as the Americas Climate and Decarbonization Solutions Leader and US Power & Utilities Sector Leader. She brings more than 20 years of experience helping organizations develop and implement sustainability, climate, EHS, and decarbonization strategies.
Shannon works with clients to assess and advance their climate strategies, including climate risk and opportunity management aligned with TCFD and IFRS S2, carbon reduction target setting, and the development of practical decarbonization plans across operations and the value chain. She has extensive experience leading sustainability program development and implementation, materiality and sustainability risk assessments, sustainable sourcing reviews, sustainability reporting, and climate and decarbonization programs, particularly within the Power & Utilities sector.
She has developed and assured greenhouse gas inventories covering all three scopes of emissions, as well as product carbon footprints, for clients across multiple industries, including energy. Shannon is also an accredited California Air Resources Board (CARB) independent GHG verifier for applicable reporting entities, with a specialty in the oil and gas sector.
In addition to her sustainability and climate expertise, Shannon has extensive EHS experience, providing program advisory services and conducting audits for organizations across numerous industries and geographies. She has designed and implemented environmental and occupational health and safety management systems aligned with ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001, and other industry standards. She has also led operational and organizational transformations designed to improve program effectiveness and EHS service delivery.
Shannon supports organizations in advancing EHS and sustainability through digital solutions and emerging AI capabilities, helping clients develop technology strategies, select and implement systems, and establish processes that enable long-term adoption and sustainment.
Earlier in her career, Shannon served as a process engineer in the oil and gas industry at UOP, a Honeywell company, and worked at Battelle Memorial Institute, where she researched and implemented environmental remediation technologies, including carbon capture and sequestration, for Power & Utilities and government clients.
