Stephen Giles is the Senior Director, EHS, Facilities & Sustainability for Hach which is a subsidiary of Danaher. Hach has a mission to ensure water quality for people around the world by making water analysis better - faster, simpler, greener and more informative. Stephen leads the Hach Global EHS organization with manufacturing facilities and a field sales & service organization within USA, Europe & Asia.
Stephen previously spent 17 years working in the UK for the Pall Corporation (another Danaher operating company) in a variety of roles within Operations, EHS & Business Continuity. In 2016 Stephen was offered a relocation for himself and his family to America to build and execute strategies to improve EHS within Hach. Under Stephens leadership, Hach has seen significant risk reductions, culture improvement and associate engagement. This in turn has resulted in year on year continual reductions in RIR, LDR and DART for the last five years.
