Steve Clarke is a Director of Environmental Protection Programs at Waste Management Inc., where he manages a staff of more than 20 environmental professionals in 12 Southeastern States and Puerto Rico. Recently, Mr. Clarke was assigned to lead the Environmental Protection Program's Risk Section, responsible for Waste Management's Waste Approvals Group and the company's National Laboratory Program. He is also responsible for significant environmental projects at more than 1000 facilities nationwide, including landfills, transfer stations, collection facilities, material recovery facilities, organic composting sites and recycling centers. Mr. Clarke is part of the corporate team that develops and implements company environmental programs and policies, including a continuous improvement process to reduce and eliminate environmental, community and regulatory impacts. He has also participated on several Waste Management environmental sustainability projects that resulted in realizing more value out of the waste streams. Mr. Clarke has more than 24 years of experience in the environmental industry, including 17 years with Waste Management and six years as a consultant with Secor and Resna Industries.

He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geology from Colgate University and a Master of Science degree in Geological Sciences from the University of Southern California. He is based out of Atlanta, Georgia.
