Dr. Keramida is the CEO, Chief Technical Officer, and founder of KERAMIDA Inc., a global engineering and consulting company. The firm was established in 1988 and serves industries, businesses, cities, and governments worldwide with strategy and implementation services in: Sustainability, Greenhouse Gases, Energy, Environmental, and Health and Safety Services.
Dr. Keramida holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from Purdue University and has over 35 years of professional experience. She has practiced Sustainability for over 35 years, has developed many sustainability strategies and concepts, and has lectured extensively on Sustainability, ESG, GHG, and Climate Change. She played a lead role in conceiving and developing KERAMIDA’s Sustainability Model, GreenStep™, a planning process and metrics rating system for Sustainable businesses and industry, enabling them to establish a sustainability foundation for their strategic and operational needs, which can reduce costs and risks, and meet the needs of investors and other stakeholders. She leads KERAMIDA’s wide range of Sustainability services.
In 2000, Dr. Keramida founded a Sustainability research and development company in California, Technikon LLC, and privatized a U.S. Department of Defense 5-year-old green manufacturing research program. Technikon LLC, whose major clients included the U.S. DOD and U.S. car manufacturers, focused its sustainability research on green manufacturing to eliminate air pollution and waste, as well as on validation of Biomass-to-Energy-to-Diesel processes. In 2011, when its research for the U.S. DOD was completed, Technikon LLC became a not-for-profit institute. Dr. Keramida has played a lead role in conceiving and developing KERAMIDA’s Sustainability Model Program for Cities, including Sustainability Metrics for Capital Projects.
Dr. Keramida serves as a strategic advisor to corporations on matters of sustainability. Dr. Keramida’s expertise as a strategic advisor for ESG issues to owners, executives, and Boards of Corporations stems from over 30 years of serving on Boards, including the Indiana Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the INCMA Board of Directors, the Purdue University Civil Engineering Board, the EQC Board of Directors, and numerous others.
