As Director of Environment, Health & Safety at the New York Power Authority, James Candiloro leads enterprise-wide initiatives that align safety, environmental compliance, and operational excellence. With over two decades of experience, James brings a systems-driven approach to building and scaling EH&S programs across complex organizations. Prior to NYPA, James served as Director of Environmental Affairs at the New York State Canal Corporation, where he oversaw compliance strategies across multiple regulatory frameworks. He began his career at the Department of Environmental Conservation, managing high-profile remediation projects and collaborating with federal, state, and local stakeholders. A licensed Professional Engineer, James specializes in creating collaborative, compliant, and forward-thinking work environments.
