NAEM Announces 2018 Excellence Award Winners
NAEM Excellence Awards exist to recognize and elevate leaders in the corporate EHS&S community as well as showcase best practices of EHS&S management in corporations. NAEM's Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes an EHS&S leader whose vision and commitment has positively shaped the fields of environment, health & safety, and/or sustainability (EHS&S) within a corporate management role. NAEM's NexGen Leaders Awards recognize rising EHS&S managers who possess the talent and skills required for the next generation of EHS&S industry leadership.

Lifetime Achievement
Nomination CriteriaFor one recipient.
- 20+ years of exceptional EHS&S performance, currently serving as an in-house EHS&S leader.
- Distinguished service and leadership within the EHS&S profession.
- Demonstrated impact on organizational performance.
- Proven leadership effectiveness in the development of EHS&S professionals.
- Commitment to industry advancements and lifelong learning.
The nomination deadline has been extended to Friday, August 31, 2018.
Nomination Requirements
- All EHS&S industry professionals, including corporate in-house employees, consultants, colleagues and teams, may nominate an individual for the NAEM Lifetime Achievement Award.
- Nominators may nominate more than one individual—a separate form is required for each nominee.
- Self-nominations will be accepted.
- Third-party letter of recommendation must be included with nomination form.
- Incomplete forms will not be considered.
NexGen Leaders
Nomination CriteriaUp to six recipients.
- High-potential corporate professional with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the fields of environment, health & safety and/or sustainability.
- Influence as an emerging EHS&S leader within his/her organization.
- Demonstrated results within area of responsibility.
- Proven decision-making and/or problem solving ability.
- Dedication to professional development.
- Commitment to the EHS&S industry.

Nomination Requirements
- Any corporate industry professional who is a supervisor/mentor of person being nominated; or, a company executive where person being nominated is employed.
- Nominators may nominate more than one individual—a separate form is required for each nominee.
- Self-nominations will not be accepted.
- Incomplete forms will not be considered.

Award Recognition & Forum Honors
Award recipients are recognized through NAEM promotions, conference honors, and special events during the Forum.
Award Recipient Recognition
- Profile of award recipients and their companies in NAEM's E-Newsletter that goes out to 13,000+ EHS&S professionals.
- Profile of award recipients including bios, photos and companies on NAEM's website receiving 1,000+ impressions each week.
- Award recipients and companies will recognized on stage and in the app at NAEM's 2018 EHS&S Management Forum.
- Award recipients and their guests from their companies will be also recognized at a special breakfast sponsored by AECOM during NAEM's 2018 Forum on Friday, October 26, 2018.
- Commemorative award presented to each recipient during the award ceremony luncheon on Thursday, October 25 during NAEM's 2018 Forum.
- Lifetime Achievement award recipient will receive complimentary conference registration to NAEM's 2018 Forum.
- NexGen Leaders award recipients will receive complimentary conference registration to NAEM's 2018 Forum, along with round-trip airfare and hotel accommodations.
