Pam Cox
Pam Cox leads a worldwide team from Verizon’s headquarters in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. Her areas of focus are promoting a safety culture, preventing serious incidents and fatalities, controlling environmental aspects and safety hazards, implementing the EHS management system and introducing technology in safety.

In 2022, Pam was chosen as one of J.J. Keller's Safety Professionals of the Year. In addition, Verizon was selected as the EHS Daily Advisor recipient of the Best Overall Safety Program and Culture and the Avetta Safety Leadership Award. In 2021, she led her team to earn dual International Organization for Standardization for (ISO) 14001 (environment) and 45001 (safety) certifications. Pam was chosen as a Chairman's Award winner for Verizon in November 2020 for her work on the COVID-19 pandemic response.

Pam joined Verizon in 2004 as a remediation manager to close legacy environmental liabilities. In 2013, her role was expanded to lead the Corporate EHS team setting the EHS strategic direction, monitoring progress and managing change. In 2018, she took on the position of Worldwide Director of EHS, combining the global and corporate EHS teams in one organization.

Pam holds a bachelor's degree in environmental policy and management, a master's degree in water resource management and hydrogeology, and a master's degree in business administration.
