Sam Olliges is a distinguished safety professional and Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) practitioner with over twelve years of progressive experience in environmental health and safety across construction, manufacturing, waste management, aviation, and heavy industry. As Senior EHS Coordinator at Landmark Structures, Sam specializes in elevated water storage manufacturing and construction and is recognized as a leading voice in the New View safety movement.

His expertise includes fall protection, confined space operations, crane safety, and high-angle rescue. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety and a Master of Science in Safety, Security, and Emergency Management from Eastern Kentucky University, where he is also pursuing a Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Sam maintains multiple credentials, including the Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and the Certified Instructional Trainer (CIT) from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals, among other credentials.

A passionate advocate for systems-based safety, Sam promotes the New View approach emphasizing learning, resilience, and frontline expertise rather than blaming and punishing errors and mistakes. He has been featured on Dr. Todd Conklin’s Pre-Accident Investigation Podcast and serves on the AIHA Confined Space Committee.
